International Scientific and Educational Consortium ‘Workforce for a Green Economy’
Leading experts of SUM spoke at the task force meeting of the Coordinating Council of the International Scientific and Educational Consortium ‘Workforce for Green Economy.’ At the event, a seminar was organised by the State University of Management as part of the state program for circular economy development.
The Co-ordinating Council of the International Scientific and Educational Consortium ‘Workforce for a Green Economy’ was created in order to integrate scientific and technological aspects of management into the training of professionals. This must be achieved to build an effective corporate training system for future leaders of the innovative development trends in resource and energy-saving (circular) economy of the Russian Federation, based on environmentally-oriented technology systems.
The State University of Management is a member of the Consortium and a leading university for training professionals capable of spearheading innovative change. The university was represented by Svetlana Kiselyova, a member of the Consortium Co-ordinating Council, academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and Russian Environmental Academy, professor and head of the Section ‘Environment and Technosphere Safety and Environmental Management’ of Department of Economics and Management in the Energy Industry at SUM.
At the online meeting, SUM experts discussed the preparation and implementation of the Week of Environmental Education and Awareness, scheduled to include 26 September 2020, the World Environmental Health Day. Proposals on federal and regional level events that may be initiated by the Consortium members were considered.
At the meeting, Svetlana Kiselyova announced the Inter-university Scientific and Practical Seminar ‘Strategic Goals and Main Directions of State Policy in the Field of Ecology and Environmental Management. Solutions and Perspective.’ It will be devoted to the issues of ensuring the environmental and biological safety of the agro-industrial complex.
The key participants of the forthcoming seminar are the Belgorod State National Research University, Belgorod State Agricultural University named after V. Gorin, Belgorod State Technological University named after V. Shukhov, State University of Management, and other members of the Consortium.
The seminar will be based on the Scientific Council of the Environmental Management scientific and production platform at the world-class scientific and educational center ‘Innovative Solutions in the Agricultural Sector’ of the Belgorod region. The Organising Committee of the Seminar will be attended by the following SUM professors: Vice President of the National Technology Chamber, Professor Yakov Vishnyakov and Professor Svetlana Kiselyova.
At the meeting, attendees also reviewed projects and programmes of the Interregional Public Movement of Creative Teachers ‘Researcher,’ wherein the State University of Management may also take part as a leading expert in management training.
