Digital transformation of management is SUM’s centre of attention

The Institute of IT Systems of the State University of Management has held an online meeting of the ‘Digital Transformation of Management: Problems and Solutions’ workshop.

The meeting was organised as part of the 35th All-Russian Scientific Conference of Young Scientists ‘Reforms in Russia and Management Challenges 2020’. Each year the event gathers more and more participants, postgraduates, young scientists and university professors. The main topic of the reports of young scientists are matters of digital transformation in the organisation of higher education and the impact of the pandemic on the digitalisation of companies and businesses in Russia and abroad.

Twenty-two reports were selected for the conference; they reflect the academic interests of over 30 young researchers mentored by seasoned research advisors and Doctors of Science. The young researchers – undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students – included representatives of Russia’s leading universities. Moreover, conference participants represented different regions of Russia, such as Moscow, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok and Saint Petersburg.

Conference reports covered a wide range of research areas in the field of digital transformation of management, including governance in the public sector, the management of educational institutions, data security and the development prospects of the digital economy.

The reports of our students and postgraduates once again proved the importance of academic communication, especially amidst the pandemic. Conference organisers pointed out that members of the Institute of IT Systems always stick together,

both online and offline.

The conference materials will be added to the database of the Russian Science Citation Index in the near future.
