SUM’s Higher School of Business Makes Top Three in MBA.SU 2020 People’s Ranking
On 3 Sep 2020, the MBA in Moscow and Russia portal published the results of an audience ranking of Russian business schools. SUM’s Higher School of Business has retained its third-place position among top Russian business schools.
For more than ten years, the MBA.SU portal has compiled an annual ranking of Russian business schools offering MBA programmes. The ranking is based on feedback from recent graduates within the last 2–4 years. That has been determined to be a sufficient amount of time to assess the quality of the training received. The ‘people’s’ ranking is called so because the business schools themselves are not directly involved in it, i.e. they have no role in filling in the questionnaires. The ranking shows how satisfied recent graduates are with their training based on four averaged metrics: increase in income after completing the programme, the programme’s impact on their career, networking opportunities during training and personal and professional development.
The 2020 ranking is based on questionnaires submitted by 1,260 alumni who graduated between 2016–2019. The responses covered 52 business schools in 10 major Russian cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok. MBA.SU estimates that this year’s sample covers about 96% of the national market for MBA and EMBA programmes.
34 business schools made the top list, with positions divided into 10 levels (or places) depending on the total averaged scores received for each point in the ranking metrics.
Just like last year, SUMs Higher School of Business took third place alongside top Russian business schools.
Congratulations to the State University of Management’s Higher School of Business and to all its students! The ranking shows that the school’s alumni continue to highly rate the quality of training received at the Higher School of Business. We value the opinions of our students and graduates—they inspire the school’s team and help us improve our training programmes.
