Teachers and staff of the State University of Management have been honoured with state, governmental and departmental awards
During the official event dedicated to the closing of SUM’s centenary year, teachers and staff of the university were honoured with state, governmental and departmental awards.
The award ceremony was held by SUM Rector Ivan Lobanov and Deputy Director of the Public Service and Personnel Department of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Vera Samorodova.
In his welcome speech to the university’s teachers, staff, students and guests, SUM Rector Ivan Lobanov noted that the university had passed a major century-long path and made a significant contribution to the development of science, education and management.
We are pleased to meet our graduates who hold important positions in both the government and the real economy. This proves that the university is functioning, developing and will be developing… Our university has a huge potential. It is our mission to realise this potential, and we have everything for this. We are the best university, although we have a long and laborious journey ahead of us. I encourage everyone to actively participate in important and challenging activities to train the specialists who will govern our country in the future. We must hand over the reins to those we trust. This is our mission as a team of the State University of Management,
declared SUM rector Ivan Lobanov.
During the speeches, many kind words were addressed both to the university’s teaching staff and the university as a whole.
You have a remarkable university, a teaching staff that works to ensure that young talents are happy in life, intelligent, cultured and honest. This is what your university teaches its students. I would like to wish you success, further prosperity for many years and to congratulate you on the coming New Year,
announced Vera Samorodova, Deputy Director of the Public Service and Personnel Department of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The official ceremony featured a video presentation dedicated to the university’s centenary that evoked pleasant memories of events that took place in the anniversary year: exhibitions ‘The History of SUM – the History of Russia’ on Moscow’s boulevards and ‘Outstanding Scientists of the State University of Management’; the award of diplomas to the ‘graduates of the century’ and the festival of the ‘first-year students of the century’; the 3rd International Scientific Forum Stepping into the Future, conferences and intensive extra-curricular activities are all just part of the events that took place for the centenary.
The anniversary year is drawing to its close. Many events have been held this year. This is very pleasing as the traditions established by previous generations, professors, staff, students who studied and worked at our university are maintained,
said Aleksey Lyalin, Chairman of the Council of Elders of SUM, Head of the Project Management Department of the Institute of Industrial Management, Doctor of Economics, Professor.
Tamara Shramchenko, Professor of Management Theory Department of the Institute of State Management and Law, has devoted her entire professional life to the University: first as a student, postgraduate, department assistant, then associate professor and professor. Today Tamara Shramchenko was honoured with a commendation from the President of the Russian Federation.
My dear colleagues! I am filled with pride and love for our university, for our team and students, and a deep respect for our management team. The university is transforming both internally and externally. I wish your families a Happy New Year. I wish your families prosperity, love and happiness,
said Tamara Shramchenko.
The official award ceremony closed with a festive concert prepared by SUM’s creative groups.
