SUM and MEI RAS Partnership

The Department of Environmental Management and Security at SUM has signed a partnership agreement with the Market Economy Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (MEI RAS). The Department staff and MEI RAS team have taken on the task of furthering vocational, educational, research and information activities in such areas as environmental protection, management and industrial and consumer waste disposal.

The MEI RAS’s key areas of research include formulating lines of market economy development, integrating the Russian economy into the global economy and elaborating mechanisms of environmental and economic market regulation.

The main benefits of this partnership are the employment opportunities that the Laboratory of the Economic Regulation of the Ecologically Stable Economy at MEI RAS offers to graduates of the Department.
