Actor Marat Basharov Gives Interview to SUM School of Business Journalism

The Centre of Innovative Entrepreneurship and Blockchain Projects of the SUM invests in its school of business journalism and supports a team of students who are passionate about it. On 27 July, students interviewed one of Russia’s most famous modern actors – Marat Basharov.

Throughout his acting career, Marat experienced many ups and downs. His popularity in the theatre has won him many loyal fans who even today still come to see him perform. In the interview with young journalists of the SUM, Marat talked about his acting activity, hobbies, work on TV and sports. By the way, the actor is a big football fan. He never misses the games of his favourite team Spartak, and he also plays hockey on the KomAr team. In spring 2019, they took the 3rd place in the championship of amateur hockey teams in Sochi.

As a young boy, Marat dreamed of becoming a crane operator – just like his uncle. However, his acting career inspired him even more. After graduating from school, Marat enrolled in legal studies but didn’t attend a single class. He was so absorbed by thoughts of becoming an actor that he spent 1 September not in the lecture hall, but on the stage of the Sovremennik theatre.

In his interview, Basharov reminisced about his childhood, years as a student, his first work experience. He also left an important message for all young people. Marat urged them to listen to the advice of their family, “…if you don’t want to regret it later, listen to your older relatives while they are here; treat your parents well, give them love and care before it’s too late. You can change anything, but you can’t bring your parents back.”

In the end, Basharov wished the best of luck to the SUM students in their studies.
