First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration S V Kiriyenko thanked SUM for its contribution to the research of social and political sciences

O V Kryshtanovskaya, Director of the Centre for the Study of the Russian Elite at SUM, was awarded a commendation from S V Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, for her significant contribution to fundamental research in the field of social and political sciences.

In 2019 a group of employees from the State University of Management headed by Professor Kryshtanovskaya implemented the study ‘Key Trends in the Development of Russia’s Ruling Elite 2019–2030’ with financial support from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (grant No. 19-011-31467 2019 of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research). The study results were highly praised by experts from both the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISI). The final report was sent to the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, where it was also noted as highly professional and useful for management practice.
