Organisers of the All-Russian Dobrovolets Rossii 2019 Competition Express Their Gratitude to SUM Expert
Pavel Pavlovskiy, Professor of the Project Management Department at SUM and Deputy Head of Youth Policy and Educational Work, has been commended by head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Aleksandr Bugayev and the Chairman of the Council of the Association of Volunteer Centres Artem Metelev for his work judging projects for the Dobrovolets Rossii 2019 (Volunteer of Russia 2019) competition.
Dobrovolets Rossii is a Russia-wide competition, now in its ninth year, has amassed tens of thousands of projects from all over the country. The best projects are given the opportunity to be implemented at the national level.
In total, 190 participants across all categories and age groups qualified for the finals of the Dobrovolets Rossii 2019 competition. The jury of the competition consists of representatives of state authorities, managers and members of public associations, athletes and theatre and film actors.
The Forum Dobrovoltsev 2019 (Volunteer Forum 2019) ended on 5 December, National Volunteer Day, with the award ceremony of the Dobrovolets Rossii competition. Russian President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated the country’s volunteers.
‘Volunteering is always important, but it is especially important in our current era of rapid development and technological revolution. It can seem like machines are capable of replacing people at everything. While artificial intelligence might be more effective at some tasks, it lacks human soul and compassion. These traits are especially pronounced in all of you, and that is valuable to us all’,
said the President.
Congratulations to Pavel Pavlovskiy! We wish him continued success.
