‘Labour Migration from Central Asia in Times of Crisis’
Professor of the SUM Department of Public Administration and Political Technologies, Honoured Worker of the Federal Migration Service, Doctor of Political Sciences Vladimir Volokh has presented a report at the International Online Seminar ‘Labour Migration from Central Asia in Times of Crisis’. At the seminar, the professor outlined his perspective on the issues of providing support for migrants, local competition for jobs, and other topics. Coronavirus and the Return of the Iron Curtain
The same week, Vladimir Volokh and Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Yuri Barzykin spoke with Sputnik Radio on the topic of the so-called ‘New Iron Curtain’ – the closure of borders between a number of countries resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. Digital Transformation of Management: Problems and Solutions
On 22 May, the Institute of Information Systems of the State University of Management (SUM) hosted a meeting of the panel ‘Digital Transformation of Management: Problems and Solutions’ of the 35th All-Russian Scientific Conference of Young Scientists ‘Reforms in Russia and Management Problems 2020’.
The reports presented at the conference covered a wide range of research areas in the field of the digital transformation of management, including governance in the public sector, the management of educational institutions, data security and the development prospects of the digital economy.
The conference materials will be added to the database of the Russian Science Citation Index in the near future.
Organisational, Managerial, Political and Legal Aspects of the Work of Public Authorities
Young scientists from SUM and guests from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the panel ‘Organisational, Managerial, Political and Legal Aspects of the Work of Public Authorities’ at the 35th All-Russian Scientific Conference of Young Scientists ‘Reforms in Russia and Management Problems 2020’. The panel discussed the challenges in making and implementing national policies, the political socialisation of the individual and various aspects of regional and national economic management by the state and provided a historical analysis of the perception of Russia in foreign press.
