SUM Engineering Centre: Innovations at a Distance

Employees of the SUM Centre for Interindustry Innovation Projects (SUM CIIP) have started working remotely. The new SUM CIIP motto is Design from Home. 

During the first week of remote work the staff of SUM CIIP carried out a detailed analysis of the energy situation and developed a programme for the Feasibility Study of investments in a customised heat and power generation system for the Central Scientific Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering  (CSRIME) of Korolev. CSRIME is the head enterprise of the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities and occupies a leading position in Russian space infrastructure.

Pre-project survey is a preliminary stage for preparing and signing a cooperation agreement. As part of this agreement, CSRIME employees will prepare a flowchart for autonomous heat and power generation as well as perform economic feasibility studies of investments in the construction of a new power complex for CSRIME.
