SUM Graduates Most Sought-After by Employers
Graduates from the State University of Management have been recognised as the most sought-after by employers.
HeadHunter, Russia’s largest recruitment platform, released its annual ranking of the best departments of Moscow’s universities for 2019–2020. To create its ranking, HeadHunter analysed data on the popularity of graduates from a given department (the ratio of invitations to interviews in a certain field), salary demand and the correspondence between profession attained and job search in a specific field.
The experts defined the following 9 specific categories: IT, law, economics and finance, HR, journalism, engineering and architecture, medicine, PR, tourism and hospitality. SUM graduates were the most sought-after in six of these categories.
In IT, graduates from SUM’s Institute of IT Systems are the 13th most in-demand in the market. This demonstrates the high-quality training of specialists and creates advantages in seeking employment.
In the law category, the Institute of State Management and Law climbed seven places over last year’s ranking. Law graduates occupy 18th place, while graduates from the Institute of Economics and Finance were ranked 6th in their category.
Two SUM departments were included in the HR category. The Institute of State Management and Law was ranked 4th, climbing 15 places and demonstrating the most significant growth compared to other SUM departments. The Institute of HR Management, Social and Business Communications took 15th place.
The Institute of HR Management, Social and Business Communications was included in the tourism and hospitality category for the first time, placing seventh.
