SUM Pre-University: Stage Two of Preparations to Open the School of Future Managers for the Digital Age

The State University of Management plans to open its Pre-University School of Future Managers for the Digital Age in the 2020–2021 academic year. The initial stages of preparation for the opening have already been completed. The next stage is the development of regulations for the Pre-University’s activities.

On 28 January, the Academic Council of the university reviewed and approved the Regulations governing the activities of the School of Future Managers for the Digital Age. These include regulations on the admissions committee as well as internal regulations for students and the teaching council. The regulations also cover the internal education quality assessment system of the SUM Pre-University, current monitoring of academic performance, the form, frequency and procedure of midterm exams and more.

Today, every department at SUM is working together to bring the Pre-University closer to its opening in 2020. Apart from building and creating all the necessary modern infrastructure for students, it is equally important to develop an impeccable regulatory framework to ensure the operation of the School of Future Managers for the Digital Age. In addition to adopting these Regulations, the university has prepared a set of documents to be submitted to the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing as well as to the State Fire Inspectorate. After receiving their permission to conduct educational activities, we will be able to start actively enrolling students,

notes Marina Grigoryeva, Director of SUM’s Pre-University.

The management of the Pre-University has worked with the university’s institutes to develop its programmes of scientific activities and projects as well as to approve its curricula through to 2022.

SUM Rector Ivan Lobanov entrusted the leadership of the Pre-University with the task of effectively utilising the university’s infrastructure and following all educational standards so that students of the school—future university students—will feel as comfortable as possible in this highly competitive environment after completing their training at the School of Future Managers for the Digital Age.
