SUM to hold an ECO campaign to collect waste paper
On 10–13 March the State University of Management will hold an environmental campaign organised by SUM’s EcoClub to collect waste paper for recycling.
The waste paper should be placed in one or more stacks for collection. If all sheets are the same size, a rope can be easily tied around the stack. If the paper is of irregular size and shape, carefully fold it into a thick bag. You can also bring and return waste paper in a cardboard box. The collection point is located at the entrance to the Training Centre and is open from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm.
If you plan to take part in the campaign, please check the list of recyclable and non-recyclable waste paper
Recyclable:
- Office paper
- Cardboard
- Newspapers/magazines
- Books
- Boxes
Non-recyclable:
- Paper cups
- Receipts
- Egg and juice cartons
- Paper napkins
Collected paper can be used to make a new book, packaging cardboard or insulating materials for construction. Just remember that 50 kg of waste paper saves 1 tree! During the recent campaign, EcoClub activists and SUM students collected one tonne of waste paper, which helped save 20 trees.
