SUM’s Higher Business School has entered the Top 30 International Visibility Ranking of CIS Business Schools 2020 and earned the reputation of a school that is ‘actively promoted in the international market’.
Expert Analytical Centre has published its annual Russian and CIS Business School Internationalisation Map. According to the new data, 29 Russian business schools meet the 2020 international visibility criteria. This includes SUM’s Higher Business School, named a school that is ‘actively promoting itself on the international market’.
Expert Analytical Centre’s research focuses on trends in the promotion of business schools in Russia and the CIS. The situation with the business education market is complicated and was heavily affected by the coronavirus pandemic, which led to the forced transition of business education to online. However, this provided an opportunity for new market players who had developed distance learning opportunities before the crisis. There are few such players, both in Russia and globally. On the other hand, it provides a major opportunity for reflecting on ways to development business schools moving forward.
SUM’s Higher Business School understands the severity the disease has had on the business education market and has already taken certain measures. For example, a number of updates to the MBA programme have been prepared for new students starting in autumn 2020. The programme has been completely revised to take into account the introduction of a new training project model. Use of the new model will allow trainees to supplement and complete their personal knowledge system, gain experience that directly integrates competencies and values and bring real-life problems into academic content. The slogan of the updated MBA programme is ‘Education by Action’.
