Two wins of the StuDos creative team

This week, the StuDos creative team became a winner in not one but two competitions: the Dancing Trophy 2020 festival and the 10th International competition for dance companies, ‘Vdokhnoveniye’.

On 24 May the StuDos creative team took part in the extramural dancing festival, Dancing Trophy 2020. Their ‘Orange Orchestra’ dance once again managed to win the hearts of a jury. This time, the team became the 2nd degree laureate.

The festival’s goals include the development of new forms of assessment for dance companies, assistance to leaders and teams in the continuation of their creative calendar plans, discovering creative potential of the members of dance companies and classes as well as creating the environment and the opportunities for the development of dance companies. The best dances will be included in the programme of the gala concert dedicated to Russia Day; the concert will take place on 11 June.

Another win took place on 26 May. That’s when organisers announced the results of the 10th International competition for dance companies, ‘Vdokhnoveniye’. The StuDos creative team became the 3rd degree laureate!

Dance companies from 13 different countries took part in the competition: Germany, China, Estonia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic, Uzbekistan and Russia. A member of the jury, Svetlana Stepanova, has picked the SUM team to take part in the competition of laureates set to take place this autumn (in the regular in-person form).

Previously, the StuDos creative team became the winner of the Online International Choreographic Competition ‘Dancemania’ organised by the International Dance Council c/o UNESCO (Moscow Section).
