Georgy Kleiner: ‘We are going through a curious phase—”a phase of strategies”‘
On 14–15 November 2019, the State University of Management together with the Central Economic Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences will host the 6th International Biennial Scientific Conference ‘Institutional Economics: Development, Teaching, Applications’.

The Programme and Organising Committees of the Conference feature Russia’s leading researchers, lecturers and experts in institutional economics, including A. Auzan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, S. Glazyev, Minister in Charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, V. Makarov, Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Scientific Director of the Central Economic Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and V. Radaev, First Vice-Rector of the Higher School of Economics.
The goal of the Conference is to discuss issues and achievements in the development of institutional economic theory, promote best practices in the organisation and methodology of teaching institutional economics in universities as well as study cases of solving current management issues at all levels of the economy, based on the achievements of institutional economics.
‘I believe that the issue of strategies is most pertinent in today’s institutional field. We are going through a curious phase—”a phase of strategies”. Can strategies be called institutions? This issue is open to discussion, which we will do at the upcoming conference’.

The Conference will include a plenary session on 14 November 2019 as well as theme-specific sessions and round tables featuring experts, young scientists and undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Reports will be divided into three sections:

Section 2. Teaching Methods in Institutional Economic Theory
Section 3. Institutional Economics and Management Issues
