Papers Presented at the Stepping into the Future Forum Sent to World-Famous Libraries
The publications from the 1st International Stepping into the Future research-to-practice conference: Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy and from the 2nd Stepping into the Future international scientific forum: Artificial Intelligence and the Digital Economy: A Revolution in Management: The New Digital Economy or the New World of Machines were sent to the Library of Congress in the US and the National Library of China.
SUM Professor Awarded a Letter of Appreciation by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs
Victoria Degtyaryova, Associate Professor at the Innovation Management Department of the Institute of Industrial Management, has received a letter of appreciation from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) for her contributions to the development of the state youth policy of the Russian Federation and for her active participation in the expert evaluation of youth projects at the 2019 All-Russian Competition of Youth Projects.
SUM’s Higher Business School Joins the Business Graduates Association
The SUM Graduate School of Business has joined the Business Graduates Association (BGA), a partner of the world-renowned AMBA (Association of MBA’s, UK).

Pavel Pavlovskiy, Professor of the Project Management Department at SUM and Deputy Head of Youth Policy and Educational Work, has been commended by head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Aleksandr Bugayev and the Chairman of the Council of the Association of Volunteer Centres Artem Metelev for his work judging projects for the Dobrovolets Rossii 2019 (Volunteer of Russia 2019) competition.

SUM Professors to Present their Works at the Data Science Conference
Professors from the Statistics Department of the State University of Management are to present a report titled ‘The Development of a Methodology for Multivariate Statistical Analysis of the Digital Readiness of a Region’ at the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON) as part of the International Scientific and Practical Conference Data Science. The conference will run from the 4–7 February 2020.
SUM Students Participate in the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition
For the first time in the University’s history, SUM’s law students have taken part in the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. They did so with support from the Department for External Relations and Promotion of the University in the International Scientific and Educational Space.
On 7 February 2020, in the run-up to Russian Science Day, Deputy Minister of Digital Development Lyudmila Bokova and Rector of the State University of Management Ivan Lobanov met with young scientists to discuss the ideas and developments of engineering centres and scientific design laboratories. The young scientists of SUM prepared and presented their findings.
