Demand for SUM distance learning increases fourfold
Demand for distance-learning courses has increased fourfold during the isolation period in response to the pandemic. The most popular courses are those on strategic, crisis and change management. These are followed by soft skills development courses: personnel management and sales management.

The State University of Management invites students to take part in a social media event dedicated to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
The purpose of the event is to discuss the importance of the Constitution as the supreme legal document. According to a survey, 41% of respondents have never even opened the Constitution in their lives. 24% said that they had read it but no longer remember anything, with a similar number admitting that they barely remember the content of the Constitution.

Digital technologies for online events at SUM
A webinar on ‘Online Tools for Holding Events in a Distance Format’ was held at SUM. Almost 90 people were in attendance, including moderators of upcoming conferences, workshops and round tables as well as SUM directors of institutes and department teachers. The webinar featured a showcase of online platforms and a Q&A session on event planning and organisation.
The SUM Engineering Centre: innovations at a distance
Employees of the SUM Centre for Interindustry Innovation Projects (SUM CIIP) have started working remotely. SUM CIIP’s new slogan is Designing from Home. During the first week of remote work the staff of SUM CIIP carried out a detailed analysis of the energy situation and developed a programme for the Feasibility Study of investment in a customised heat and power generation system for the Central Scientific Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (CSRIME) of Korolev.
Webinar on the new possibilities of the Profstazhirovki 2.0 student contest
Profstazhirovki 2.0 allows students of the State University of Management to apply their knowledge and offer complete business solutions. A webinar titled ‘New Opportunities of the Second Wave of the Profstazhirovki 2.0 Project’ took place on 8 April 2020. Speakers fielded questions regarding case selection procedure, remote interaction with employers, selecting the topic of student work, the submission of final work, the review of results and internships for summer 2020.
‘Build Your Team’: an online seminar at SUM on building effective teams
The State University of Management hosted the ‘Build Your Team’ scientific and practical online workshop.
The workshop was led by Viktoriya Degtyaryova, Associate Professor at the Innovation Management Department, and took place remotely via the Zoom platform as part of the scientific and technical events held at Tochka Kipeniya.
Webinar on ‘Attracting and Retaining New Subscribers through Summer Events’
The State University of Management held a webinar titled ‘Attracting and Retaining New Subscribers through Summer Events’ devoted to analysis of the telecom industry project. The webinar was hosted by Anton Novikov who previously headed the Garnet case club.
Online conference and Twitch broadcast at SUM
The 4th International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Pressing Issues in Accounting, Analysis, Control and Taxation’ was held in the State University of Management. It was the first online scientific conference this month.
Information Systems Management study now online
Due to the spread of COVID-19, SUM’s Institute of Information Systems (IIS) will continue organising scientific events in an online format.
SUM Esports team wins in #ИграемДома
The friendly match of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive took place between the teams of the State University of Management and Moscow Region State University. Our students won with a final score of 2:0, bringing yet another victory to the university!
