Inclusive Education Project Competition
Dear SUM students, We invite you to enter the regional Ya v Professii (I’m in a Profession) competition, part of Russia’s state Dostupnaya Sreda (Accessible Environment) programme. The competition is aimed at fostering inclusive education and respectful culture among students, teachers and parents of children with disabilities as well as developing the intellectual and creative potential of the participants.
The competition is designed to highlight the creation of educational programmes and specialisations with the active inclusion of people with disabilities into the process.
The Ya v Professii competition is open to both individual participants and groups of up to three people as long as at least one of these is a student with disabilities.
The competition is divided into four main categories:
- Adaptive Sports, Machines, Sports, Sports Facilities and Equipment. The category is open to projects in physical education and sports as well as biomedical and cybertechnologies aimed at improving physical activity of people with disabilities.
- We’re Creating an Inclusive Education Environment The category is open to projects in two subcategories, the Best Technological Invention and the Best Research Project.
- Environment of Unlimited Capabilities. The category is open to projects in the methodology and practice of inclusive education.
- Creativity Without Borders. The category is open to projects in the arts, including design, fine-art photography, etc.

The presentation stage of the competition will take place on 20–21 September 2019, at the Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don.
