Krasnaya Tsena Makes Semifinals of the Western Russia International KVN Union Facing Stringent Competition

Let’s support our guys!

Krasnaya Tsena, a team of SUM students, made the semifinals of the league of the Western Russia International KVN Union. Next Sunday, on 27 October, the guys will be competing for the finals in Kaliningrad. We asked the actors what this game meant to them and about their fighting spirits and their opponents:

Our team has set several goals for this game. First, we naturally hope to get through to the season finals; every team plays to win. Second, we want to be worthy ambassadors of our university. We’re delighted that the whole university is supporting our team. It gives us an incentive and the drive to win. Of course, the teams from Kaliningrad are the front runners and are getting a great deal of support, but that doesn’t discourage us in the slightest. The SUM is providing us with financial and moral support. We’ve got strong backing, even at a distance, and that’s what gives us the strength to keep going!

Reaching the semifinals of the Western Russia KVN league is a considerable achievement, and we are honoured to represent our university. It won’t be easy, but at this stage there are no weak opponents left in the game, which will clearly benefit the show. SPARzha, a team of local supermarket chain employees, stands out among the strongest local teams. These people go on stage just to have fun, and the audience is happy to reward them for it. We are supported by our fans and the university even at a distance. Even though they won’t be present among the audience, we can still feel their emotions, and this gives us confidence and strength. It’s important to us that a team from the SUM makes the finals, so we’ll give it 100%.

In the semifinals, the SUM team will face such rivals as Lobster ot Smekha, Tallinn; Malo Polovin, Moscow; SPARzha, the SPAR retail chain; Uzhe ne Deti, Kaliningrad; Bespoleznyye Iskopayemyye, Kant BFU; Sluchaynaya Kompaniya, Svetlogorsk; Jamaica, Kant BFU.

We wish our guys good luck in the upcoming game in Kaliningrad! May your jokes hit the spot, the judges rate you highly and the audience love you! Remember we’ll always be supporting you!
