Larisa Talalova Gives Speech at International Scientific Conference

For the first time ever, Russia was hosting the conference organised by the Research Committee 04 (Sociology of Education) of the International Sociological Association (ISA). During the conference, the Head of the Department of the Russian Language and General Disciplines, Larisa Talalova made a presentation of her report on the issues of digitalisation of education in the context of the social transormation of society.

On 24-26 July, the International Science Conference “Culture and Education: Social Transformation and Crosscultural Communication” brought together 202 participants from around the world, with the help of the Institute of Foreign Languages of RUDN University. During 16 sectional meetings, they discussed the latest issues of modern education. Teachers, psychologists, sociologists, linguists and cultural researchers from 30 countries and 17 regions of Russia as well as scientists from Poland, Great Britain, Chile and Taiwan talked about the social problem in education and cultural development.

At the conference, Larisa Talalova presented two reports in which she emphasised the role of an interdisciplinary approach and digitalisation in the development of international activity of the State University of Management and the export of Russian education. Both reports will be published in a book of collected papers presented at the conference and will be indexed in the Web of Science RSCI.

Talalova mentions that the high level of organisation at the conference: “It is an honour to be not just a participant, but also a speaker at this event. It was great to interact with my international colleagues and see their interest in our research.”
