Master Class on the Development of the Energy Industry in Norway

An expert from Equinor held a master class on the topic of ‘The Development of the Energy Industry in Norway’. Students learned more about working in foreign companies, career development and project management.

On 27 April 2020, an online master class titled ‘The Development of the Energy Industry in Norway’ was held for 3rd-year bachelor’s students in Urban Management.

During the master class, Daria Zhadobina, Management and Control Coordinator for the Kharyaga project of the Norwegian energy company Equinor, shared her experience of working there and spoke about how the largest company in Norway operates. She also addressed its main activities, projects and values, what the company does in Russia, how she started her career at the company and shared some of the secrets of her career growth.

Global energy companies are actively utilising tools for the sustainable development of territories. It is vital that specialists understand and play an active part in the implementation of their company’s values, which affect the environmental, social and economic development of territories,

About:

Daria Zhadobina graduated in State and Municipal Administration from the Institute of State Management and Law. She worked in the energy industry for ten years. For the last five years, she has been working on the issues of safety and sustainable development at Equinor, including projects aimed at reducing air emissions caused by oil and gas production activities, as well as projects aimed at developing the company’s regions of operation and the safety of its facilities. Last year, she worked at the corporate department for sustainable development in Oslo, and was involved in operational safety at a gas terminal.
