Meeting for First-Year Students

On 30 August 2019, students of the State University of Management came to the University Stadium to celebrate the beginning of the new academic year. First-year students got acquainted with presidents and active members of the Student Councils and enjoyed spirited athletic and entertainment programmes.

Tatyana Simonova, the head of the Youth Policy and Education Department, welcomed all the students and encouraged them to join into student life, as the University offers a brilliant opportunity to try oneself in different roles, get new acquaintances and find good friends who will stay with you throughout life. She also mentioned that the new generation of first-year students will be historic. “We are starting a new academic year, a very special year, as we are beginning a new century of our history. Each first-year student will be a unique 21st-century student at the fantastic State University of Management.” 

At the university stadium, the institutes greeted the first-year students with special interactive presentations. Presidents and active members of the Student Councils also took the floor to congratulate the newcomers. The University Student Council presented its ‘Successful Leadership Course’. The first-year students enjoyed an entertainment programme with team-building activities, interactive contests and athletic competitions. At the end of the meetup, all the students rehearsed a flashmob which they are going to perform at the official ceremony taking place on 2 September 2019.
