President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has held a meeting with the newly appointed Head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, State University of Management graduate Dmitriy Patrushev
During their discussion, the head of state noted the success of the Ministry’s work in 2019.
‘Our agricultural industry has always remained at the forefront in recent years. The last year has also been successful’,
said Vladimir Putin.
In turn, the Minister stated that an increase of 4.1% in agricultural production can be expected based on the results of the past year’s work.
In the words of Dmitriy Patrushev,
‘We have seen a steady growth in both the production volumes and productivity of most major crops. About 14 million tonnes of vegetables were harvested in 2019. These are the best results in Russia in modern history’.
