Student Life at SUM During Self-Isolation

SUM students always stay active, even in self-isolation. In addition to studying, they manage to do sport, take part in tournaments and acquire new skills and knowledge.

Institute of Industrial Management

This Thursday, the IIM Student Council launched a new weekly column – IOMotivation. The column will feature interesting books, movies and webinars bound to inspire new ideas and achievements.

The first season of the SUM Isolation project, which encourages students to complete interesting challenges, has come to a close. The event was a huge success, and its organisers have already started accepting applications for the second season.

Institute of State Management and Law

The ISML Student Council encourages everyone to stay at home and suggests watching the movie ‘Uchilka’ (‘The Teacher’) – they guarantee that it will leave an impression. Students who have already seen the film had this to say:

The good:

1) Realistic portrayals of students and teachers (Kupchenko gives a standout performance)

2) excellent acting

3) acute social commentary depicting problems relevant to today’s society

4) a well-written story

5) it’s relevant, topical, and realistic

The bad:

1) the story drags on a little

Rating: 9/10

Happy watching!

Institute of HR Management, Social and Business Communications

The faculty and students of the Institute of HR Management, Social and Business Communications make the most of the possibilities offered by the Internet. All of the Institute’s projects are now operating remotely, which has attracted an even larger audience than when they were held offline. Of course, in addition to their educational component, the projects are also aimed at keeping students occupied – which is very important in times of stress and anxiety. Next month, students from the Institute of HR Management, Social and Business Communications are planning to conduct a series of events to help participants solve a number of pressing social issues. For updates, follow the Institute’s Student Council on VK and Instagram.
