SUM Esports Team Wins #ИграемДома
SUM’s Esports Team won a friendly Counter-Strike: Global Offensive match.
Russian Esports stars have launched the #ИграемДома campaign. As part of the campaign, the Federation of Computer Sports of Russia and professional players are encouraging people to stay home and take part in various online sports events. Students of the State University of Management are an active part of the movement and have organised their own Esports events.
One such event was the recent friendly Counter-Strike: Global Offensive match between the State University of Management and Moscow Region State University. SUM’s team is made up of:
- Anton Andreyev, ‘BROVASTblY’, IIM MPB 2-2
- Maksim Baranov, ‘naberesh’ , IIM MPB 2-2
- Yevgeniy Nam, ‘letty-‘, IIM, Innovation 1-2
- Andrey Titenkov ‘-2mvn-‘, IEF FM 2-1
- Nikita Ukolov, ‘axe_capital-‘, ISML Jurisprudence 2-2.
The match took the form of a best-of-three format. The following maps were selected in the pick/ban phase:
- Inferno (MRSU pick
- Train (SUM pick)
- Mirage (map decider).
The first game was played on the Inferno map. Thanks to their victory in the knife round, the SUM team played defence in the first half of the game, managing to retain a significant advantage over their opponents. The second half ended with no losses and a final score of 16:5 (10:5, 6:0).
The next game was played on the Train map. Team SUM once again started on defence and finished the first half with a solid score of 13:2. Though MRSU managed to win three rounds in the second half, the SUM team denied their rivals the lead and ended the match with a score of 16:6 (13:2, 4:3).
The friendly between SUM and MRSU ended with a final score of 2:0, signifying another victory for SUM and its students!
It was the first #ИграемДома match for SUM’s students. We hope to see an enthusiastic response from other universities to play friendlies with our team. In the meantime, we strongly encourage all Esports players and students to stay home and join #ИграемДома!
