SUM: Practice-Oriented Education and Truly Effective Social Elevators

Artem Pokinko and Viktor Golubev, students of SUM’s Institute of Industrial Management and representatives of the ‘Automotive Business Management’ track, took part in the Student Projects and Internships as a Social Elevator educational forum, held as part of the Senezh workshop.

The State University of Management is actively developing the school—university—student—employer scheme aimed at efficient lifelong practice-oriented education and training of specialists for Industry 4.0, who meet all the requirements set by digital economy employers.

Student project contests, case studies from leading employers and internships for the winners constitute an interaction channel between employers and universities that can serve as a truly effective social elevator for the most talented, qualified and motivated students.

As part of the Student Projects and Internships as a Social Elevator educational forum, heads of HR departments of the project’s key partners such as Roscosmos, RUSAL, Aeroflot, Rosseti, ROSATOM, VEB.RF and DOM.RF presented their case studies developed for students. Those able to solve these challenging cases will gain access to internships with Russia’s most prestigious employers!

The Forum was organised by the ANO Russia—Land of Opportunity and the All-Russia People’s Front. Forum participants featured representatives of university management, leaders of student associations, partner employers and government officials. The idea behind the Forum is to raise awareness of practice-oriented education in Russia, including the new opportunities offered by the Profstazhirovki 2.0 (Professional Internships 2.0) project.

State University of Management graduates are already working for the country’s top employers—in business and government alike. The talents, knowledge and skills of the next generation of SUM students acquiring practice-oriented education at their University will definitely become a stepping stone to their dream career as well!
