SUM Rector Ivan Lobanov suggested writing the history of the university’s KVN movement
In a warm atmosphere at the State University of Management, Rector Ivan Lobanov met with members of SUM’s KVN (Club of Funny and Inventive People) League: the teams ‘Ryazansky Prospekt’, ‘First Management’, ‘Red Price’, ‘Pannakota’, ‘My Way’ and ‘Wordplay’. The Rector expressed his gratitude to the young people for their victories and highly appreciated their contribution to the promotion of the KVN movement.
Your victories make a significant contribution to the development of the university. Although university is primarily about science, everything you do in addition to studying is also important. Life has many dimensions, it is much more diverse than most of you can imagine. The skills that you have acquired when preparing for and participating in KVN games will certainly be of great benefit to you. KVN, creative work is a powerful driver that develops you both as a person and as a professional,
said SUM rector Ivan Lobanov.
The success of SUM’s KVN League teams is really impressive.
For example, just in the last month these teams have managed to win big games at least twice: on 17 December, the KVN team ‘Ryazansky Prospekt’ took third place among the strongest teams participating in the Cup of the Central League of Moscow and Moscow Region; on 29 November, the KVN team ‘My Way’ was crowned champion of the Interregional Student League and won the main prize from the sponsor (a tour to Sochi to the 31st International Festival of KVN teams ‘KiViN 2020’).
SUM Rector and KVN actors discussed not only the success of the teams and the goals for future games but also the qualities that young people should have in today’s constantly accelerating world. They talked about humour and how it helps in life. They laughed a lot.
Do as much as you can, apart from your studies, and develop yourself. In today’s world, it is vital to have the maximum range of competencies and skills. It is up to you to choose whether it will be KVN, sports or science. The key is to have a goal, a desire to win. We will support your interest. You can safely plan for next year,
the rector assured the meeting’s participants.
The students mentioned that when playing and preparing for the games there comes an understanding of the value of unity to achieve a common goal.
We have nine teams. There are young teams, like ‘My Way‘, ‘Red Price’ and ‘Wordplay’, and there are more experienced teams. By putting everyone together at the right time and uniting them into one system, we are able to achieve the desired results. Success is definitely a credit to the university because the support and the creation of certain conditions are very important,

We are all a large family. If it wasn’t for all of us here, we certainly wouldn’t have made it to the finals. I can see everything from within, and I understand how difficult and challenging it is. Thank you so much for your support,

SUM Rector Ivan Lobanov proposed classifying and describing the history of the university’s KVN movement by allocating a particular place to illustrate it in the renovated SUM museum.
