SUM University Saturdays: Business Simulation in Management
The State University of Management invites schoolchildren, students, parents, teachers and everyone interested in modern business simulation techniques to join a public lecture on “Business simulation for management professionals”, held by Grigory Soroko, Candidate of Economics and Docent of the SUM Project Management Department, on 28 September.
The attendees will learn about the development of business simulation games, discover modern practices and techniques of business simulation, and be given practical advice on how to organise such activities.
This is the second event held under the University Saturdays educational and career guidance project, initiated by the Moscow Department of Education. The first workshop was dedicated to time management and took place on 21 September in the State University of Management.
‘The interactive format of this event is what makes it special. After a brainstorming warm-up and a short introduction, we moved straight onto the game, which was based on the Eisenhower Matrix—a method that helps with time management and prioritising your tasks for the day. The participants tried to step into the shoes of a CEO of a large company, and organise their work day efficiently. Schoolchildren and their parents were very excited to complete the tasks, and many of them are already planning to join us for the upcoming University Saturdays,’ says Alexandra Kobylyanskaya, Head of Social and Education Division of the SUM Training Centre and workshop organiser.
Admission is free for all visitors. Lectures, workshops and business simulation games will help broaden your knowledge, develop your skills, meet new people and let you dive into the extracurricular life of the university.
