Summer project office of the Research and Education Laboratory ‘Digital Economy and Advanced Technology’

The Summer project office organised by the SUM Research and Education Laboratory ‘Digital Economy and Advanced Technology’ has completed its work for the season. The goal of the project office was to engage students in the development of special services for those who study at the University. 

The office has successfully developed an app for the Physical Education Department. The app was created by freshmen from the Applied Mathematics and Information Technologies Department. The case was as follows: the SUM information system lacks dedicated storage for information on student attendance. Each professor has an Excel file which they have to fill in over and over again, and should such a file go missing by accident—all the information is lost. The students came up with a straightforward and easy-to-use system for storing information which could be used by SUM students and professors. At this stage, the front end and back end parts of the app are ready.

The office has also established a design division for the laboratory, tasked with creating mascots and lucky charms for the University and the SUM Research and Education Laboratory ‘Digital Economy and Advanced Technology’. They have also designed uniforms for the SUM e-sports team.
