SUM’s Business Incubator Events as Part of Project Thursdays
On 24 September 2020, SUM’s Business Incubator held a series of events as part of the student project training programme.
From 10am to 2pm, SUM held classes with first-year bachelor’s students in the assembly hall. The classes were held in two streams: one for students of IIM, IEF, ISML, the other for students of IEP and SBK, IIS, IM.
SUM rector Alexander Troitsky addressed the students, telling them about SUM’s strategy in the field of project training and its specific features.
Alexey Sazonov, Director of the Business Incubator, spoke about the Centre’s activity, its goals and objectives, and also informed the students about the upcoming student project contest.
Sazonov then introduced partners of SUM working under previously signed agreements to support the project work of students and teachers. The students also heard from Sergey Volk of IPI-Lab LLC, who presented the company’s BusinessChain.io project. This platform will be used for the future contest.
Evgenia Parinova of the Agency of Innovations of Moscow state budgetary institution (the second partner) spoke about the Agency’s resources and possible formats of interaction. In particular, she talked about the Future Tech events programme, in which students and teachers can choose from a large number of cases and real project tasks for project work from small and medium-sized businesses in Moscow.
A webinar took place from 4pm to 6pm with the SUM professors responsible for students’ project work, in which they learned about partners’ proposals and the specifics of working as project managers in the proposed programmes.
