The State University of Management to Open Its Tochka Kipeniya

On 19 October 2019, the State University of Management will open the University’s Tochka Kipeniya (Boiling Point), a space for collaborative efforts. The opening will be the part of the Osenniy Navigator (Autumn Navigator) event dedicated to the launch of Tochka Kipeniya hubs at universities and designed to familiarise students with the National Technological Initiative (NTI). A total of 41 new hubs will be launched on this day.

The University’s Tochka Kipeniya will bring together representatives of fields such as education, research and business, along with scientists, students, technological entrepreneurs, government officials and members of public organisations and professional communities. The Tochka Kipeniya will primarily work on projects within the markets of the National Technological Initiative, including Autonet, Technet, Neuronet, Energynet and Edunet.

At the University’s Tochka Kipeniya, students and lecturers will gain access to the 20.35 University digital platform as well as its AI-based diagnostic and recommender services. The university-based Tochka Kipeniya hubs are focused on shaping educational tracks for students and lecturers enabling them to master necessary digital competencies with the help of both the 20.35 University platform and their own university’s resources in a short period of time.

As well as a platform for universities to share educational content and best practice in education, the University’s Tochka Kipeniya will help incorporate the latest digital technologies into learning with the support of partners and members of the NTI ecosystem, including development institutes, state corporations and companies.

From the foundation of the very first universities in Europe, they have been both research and cultural hubs and centres of spiritual concentration and growth. Today, universities are becoming points of synergy, where creative energy is boiling: the energy of technological creation and of the unity of creative social consciousness

pointed out Professor Pavel Terelyansky, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Programme Director of SUM’s Tochka Kipeniya.

SUM’s Tochka Kipeniya was made possible with the support of the ANO NTI Platform and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

FOR REFERENCE:

The Osenniy Navigator (Autumn Navigator) is a one-day geographically distributed event designed to attract a new target audience to the NTI and the 20.35 University platform.

City Tochka Kipeniya hubs are considered the classic event format. The first space for collaborative efforts opened in Moscow in 2013. In 2016, the first Tochka Kipeniya was launched outside of Moscow—first in St Petersburg and then in Ivanovo. Today, Tochka Kipeniya hubs operate in 32 cities across Russia. 2019 saw the launch of a new Tochka Kipeniya format—university-based hubs. Before the launch of the second phase of university-based hubs, the network consisted of 41 Tochka Kipeniya points, with 28 city- and 13 university-based hubs in Moscow, St Petersburg, Ivanovo, Petrozavodsk, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Tomsk, Ulyanovsk, Chelyabinsk, Obninsk, Lipetsk, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Yakutsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Belgorod, Yekaterinburg, Chita, Veliky Novgorod, Tyumen, Blagoveshchensk, Grozny, Cherepovets, Rostov-on-Don, Omsk, Nalchik, Tula, Yaroslavl, Kazan, Ryazan, Volgograd and Perm.

The Tochka Kipeniya spaces for collaborative work are designed to bring together representatives of fields such as education, research and business, along with scientists, technological entrepreneurs, government officials, members of public organisations and professional communities, university and school students and caring citizens to share experience and results of their work, elaborate on new ideas individually in their own fields and in collaboration with each other. We see a growing number of citizens involved in the National Technological Initiative’s projects as a result of the network’s activities.

The format of Tochka Kipeniya spaces for collaborative work was developed by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and has been in use since 2013. It obtained ‘network’ status in late 2016. The non-profit franchise is owned by the ANO NTI Platform founded by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The network operates with the support of the Leader-ID.ru platform. With more than 527,000 registered users currently, the platform enables each user to organise their independent and free-to-attend educational events. Commercial, religious and political events are not permitted. More than 40 online events take place every day.
