Young Specialists Have Successfully Completed Their Refresher Course at SUM

The Department of Environmental Management and Environmental Safety at the State University of Management together with the ‘NP KITS SNG’ Association has launched a joint refresher course on the ‘Compilation of a Safety Data Sheet for Chemical Products in Accordance with the Requirements Set by the Interstate Standard GOST 30333’. Ten young specialists have completed the programme thanks to the support from the Training and Consulting Centre for Extended Vocational Education at SUM’s Institute of Industrial Management. Among the graduates of the course are specialists who directly participate in the production, shipment, selling, export and import of chemical products, as well as employees of Certification and Testing Centres.

The main purpose of this course is to teach the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to compile a Safety Data Sheet for chemical products, working with databases of chemical substances, classifying hazardous chemical products. Moreover, the information acquired through this programme can also be used in safety labelling to ensure chemical and environmental safety.

After the programme’s completion, each participant who successfully passed the final exam received two certificates awarded by SUM and the ‘NP KITS SNG’ Association, verifying attendee’s completion of the course. 

Practice-oriented continuous training and close contact with the actual sector of the economy and professional associations is one of the most successful areas of SUM’s strategic development. The course was carried out within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed this year between SUM and the “NP KITS SNG” Association,
