Online Submission of Admission Applications to the State University of Management in 2020
20 June 2020 will mark the official start of SUM’s Admission Campaign. Applicants will be able to submit their documents to the Admissions Committee remotely using their Applicant Account. 2020 applicants’ documents will be accepted remotely via Applicant Accounts, advance registration for which began on 27 April. The complete set of documents can be submitted after the launch of the Admission Campaign on 20 June 2020. Counselling at the State University of Management
Self-isolation causes many people to experience emotional stress caused by the change in familiar environment, leaving their comfort zone, and the challenges of motivation and adaptation. If you are experiencing these issues, you can contact a University psychologist.
Open Day Goes Online at the State University of Management
At 5 pm on 28 April 2020, the University’s Admissions Committee will hold an online Open Day for the university’s undergraduate and graduate programmes. At the event, Director of Admissions, Student Mobility and Employment Aleksey Nikulin will discuss the admissions process and the university’s entrance exams.
The Logistics Department of the State University of Management has won a competition for the best fundamental research projects. Its international research project is aimed at designing programmes to develop the logistics and future prospects for the development of logistical relations between Russia and Vietnam.
Viktor Cherepov, Chair of the Department of Management in Healthcare and Sports Industry at SUM, is coordinating the work of the Expert Council of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to combat coronavirus. In the two weeks of its existence, the Council has devised 24 large-scale projects aimed at combatting viral infections.
SUM Holds its First Online Music Concert on Instagram
On 21 April, the Instrumental Music Club will hold STAY HOME, its first online concert. Members of the club will perform their favourite songs from the comfort of their own homes. The concert will be streamed live on Instagram. During the breaks between performances, the host will talk about the club’s activities outside the university and interview the musicians about how they rehearse and what they are up to during self-isolation. The concert will also feature guest performers whose names the organisers are keeping secret until the event.
Join the ‘Winning Hearts’ Blood Donor Marathon!
Blood donation drives are virtually impossible to organise during the self-isolation period. While the number of volunteers has fallen, the need for blood has not. Blood donation centres are in desperate need of donors, and you can help by taking part in the ‘Winning Hearts’ marathon.
Round Table on ‘Measures to Support Small and Medium-sized Businesses During COVID-19: Students’ Views’ SUM held a round table discussion on measures to support small and medium-sized businesses during the time of COVID-19. Students of the Innovation programme presented their views on how to tackle the issue. The best works will be presented at the 28th All-Russian Student Conference ‘Management Problems 2020.’
Automotive Business Management: Sign Up for an Online Test Drive The Department of Transport System Management invites you to attend a personal online presentation of the bachelor’s programme in Automotive Business Management. Participants will learn about the specifics of the Automotive Business Management programme, as well as potential career trajectories, events for students, and famous graduates. The personalised format allows participants to directly and comfortably ask essential questions about admission rules, dormitory accommodation, and learning format.
Scientific Achievements of SUM’s Young Scientists at St. Petersburg Congress Scientists from the State University of Management presented their works at the 9th Congress of Young Scientists of the ITMO University in St. Petersburg. They shared their findings in the fields of innovation, management, and high technology to the recognition of the scientific community.
International Scientific and Educational Consortium ‘Workforce for a Green Economy’
Leading experts from SUM spoke at a task force meeting of the Coordinating Council of the International Scientific and Educational Consortium ‘Workforce for Green Economy.’ The event featured a seminar organised by the State University of Management as part of the state program for the development of the circular economy.

The State University of Management has published the results of the 12th Inter-university ‘Transport and Logistics Management 2020’ Academic Contest.
